Ajinkya Rahane is an Indian cricketer who was born on June 6, 1988, in Ashwi KD, Sangamner, Maharashtra, into a middle-class family. His father’s name is Madhukar Baburao Rahane, and his mother’s name is Sujata Rahane. He has a sister named Apurva Rahane. At the age of seven, his father used to take him to a local coaching camp in Dombivli because they could not afford professional training. When he was 17 years old, he began receiving coaching from former India batsman Pravin Amre.

Rahane is married to Radhika Dhopavkar. He is a right-handed batsman and is known for playing in the middle-order in Test matches and at the top of the order in limited-overs games. In domestic cricket, he has represented Mumbai state, and in the Indian Premier League, he has played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Rising Pune Supergiant.

In early 2007, Ajinkya Rahane played for the Indian Under-19 cricket team in their tour of New Zealand and scored two centuries. Later that year, he made his first-class debut for Mumbai against Karachi City in the Mohammad Nisar Cup. Due to the unavailability of several first-team players, Rahane opened the innings and scored a century in the first innings, with a total of 247 runs, including 143 (off 207 balls) in the first innings and 110 runs in the second innings. He was then selected to play for the Rest of India team and in the Irani Cup.

In November 2011, Rahane was selected to play for the Test team against the West Indies. Despite being on the team for 16 months, seven players had started before him. Although his performance in limited overs cricket (ODI and T20I) during the Pakistan and England series in January 2013 was below par, averaging about 25, it was not entirely his fault.
