Pawandeep Rajan wins Indian Idol 12

Fan favourite Pawandeep Rajan has emerged as the winner of Indian Idol 12!

Arunita Kanjilal emerged as the first runner-up with Sayli Kamble taking the third position on Indian Idol 12.

From the Top 6 Finalists, Arunita Kanjilal and Sayli Kamble were declared as the first and second runners-up respectively and were awarded with a cheque of Rs. 5 lakhs respectively.

The third and the fourth runners-up, Mohd. Danish and Nihal Tauro were awarded with a cheque of Rs. 3 lakhs respectively. All the Top 6 finalists received a cheque of Rs. 75,000 from Raj Superwhite Soap followed by gift hampers from Colgate and Denver respectively.

Sayli Kamble shared in a statement, “Shooting for the grand extravagant called the ‘Greatest Finale Ever’ of Indian Idol Season 12 has been one of the most enriching experiences ever. With so many notable names being a part of the finale episode, I am feeling all kinds of happy. I feel blessed to have received an opportunity to perform with Vaishali on this huge platform. She is tremendous support and I really want to thank her for this beautiful Paithani saree. It is really special to me.”

Vaishali Made added, “I am super excited to be part of the ‘Greatest Finale Ever’. It feels amazing performing with Sayli on stage of Indian Idol 12. She is a commendable singer and one of my favorite contestants too. It is a pleasure to perform and, it is my pleasure to give her a ‘Navaari’ saree as a token of love and wishes.”

Raghav Sanchar played the saxophone while Pawandeep sang O Mere Dil Ki Chain.

Mohd Danish gets to dance with his ‘idol’ Mohd Danish on the song Nagada. Anu Malik joined them on stage, adding to the fun.

Singer Vaishali Mhade and Sayli Kamble sang a fabulous rendition of Pinga from the film Bajirao Mastani, earning much applause and praise.
In an earlier episode, Nihal Tauro agreed that he wouldn’t mind going bald if it meant that he could win the Indian Idol 12 trophy. Host Aditya Narayani held him to that promise, and cut off a strand of his hair.
Kiara Advani was impressed by Mohd Danish and Nihal Tauro. She danced with Nihal, and then sang for him. During the performance, she said that she got ‘distracted’ by Sidharth Malhotra.
Singer Mohammed Irfan performed his hit song Dil Sambhal Ja Zara from Murder 2 with his favourite contestant Arunita Kanjilal.
Javed Ali performs a powerful rendition of ‘Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera’ to start his set in the 12-hour Grand Finale of Indian Idol 12. He also sang AR Rahman’s rendition of Vande Mataram.

Aditya Narayan dedicates song to father Udit Narayan on finale

In one of the highlights of the Indian Idol 12 grand finale, Aditya Narayan will make a special dedication for father, Udit Narayan, by singing 1995 song “Tu Mera Dil, Tu Meri Jaan” that he and the veteran singer had sung for 1995 film Akele Hum Akele Tum.
